Fashion and the grown up

I ponder my fashion choices every day. I have some great pieces that I have loved for years, and you know if you keep them long enough they will come back into style. Unfortunately, I always come out of the closet with the very same thing. Jeans. I love my jeans. I buy the exact ones for $30 - $40 a pair two times a year. I do get different lengths - 32 - 34. That covers the tennis shoe/flat and the cowboy boots. I dress them up by having them starched. Now you all know my weakness. I decide once or twice a year to throw away my jeans and wear nice slacks, dresses or skirts. I never get the courage to throw the jeans away, and the new fashionable slacks etc. last about a week. Shame on me!

Now that you know my bottom line....I am in search of updated tops. I figure if the jeans are here to stay, and they are, I should have some great tops. Grown up tops. I, of course, have the great Colorado tops. You know, the really warm tops. I also have bought a nice long coat. I have not had one of those in years! So the search is on for something feminine and darling, sophisticated and fun. Don't think Gunny is where I will find such fun things - but the search is on.

I bought nice, non-cowboy boots last season. I ended up wearing them all the time. They had a bit of a heel, and fit really nicely. So that is my closeted issues of the day! Again, I wish the glamourai could make a personal visit to help me with my quests!

I have to admit that I am very proud of myself with a few things. I have conquered electricity. Yes, I have wired two light fixtures! It took most of the day, but I got it done! I will try to get a pic for the crystal chandelier that finally shines! Good thing I have a nice neighbor who will still take my calls. He can tell me which wires are good and which are not. Yeah! As this is written, I now have trac lighting over my couch that is bright! It also spotlights a wonderful picture I have over the couch.

Last Volleyball game today. It is one of those happy/sad things. It is also a 4 hour BIG YELLOW BUS ride to get there. We have had snow predicted for the past couple of days and it has not hit yet. Hopefully it will hold off one more day. I am also hopeful the girls will play well today!
