Morning has Broken....

We are up and at 'em here in the big city. Olive has done her job of scaring off all the nightly creatures including the horse in the field right behind the house. I have to admit the movements against the bushes was a bit eerie until he finally showed himself! I am thinking bear, raccoons - and I mean a bunch of raccoons, deer? When he finally broke away, I was totally relieved! Glad I did not shoot him. Doubt the neighbor would have thought that was too neighborly.

Our schedule today is open. The sun is trying to make it's way over the trees. It is cold. Olive is doing her lay on her back with the feet in the air dead dog thing, and I am sitting in my cashmere robe. Best money I have ever spent! Fireplace (pellet stove) is roaring and we have yet to decide the rest of the day.

Volleyball was interesting yesterday. Kids. Remember they are 13/14 year old girls. I had one player tell the ref "no f...way" during our first tournament. Yesterday, same child tells me she has a s... load of homework and can not stay for practice. I think I must stand there with my mouth open just looking at her. Number one, Media (my mom) washed my mouth out with soap when I was 3 or 4 and it still is a vivid memory. (Ok - everyone settle down! Yes I do use some of those words....but not THOSE words!) So needless to say, coaching has been very colorful this season. All my coaches would have to be laughing at this - I had a list of words that were never to be uttered - at least not in my earshot. The girls and coaches were always very aware of this!

I am going on a wonderful site seeing adventure on Friday. I am taking the big yellow bus over Monarch Pass. I still hold my breath going over it in my car. I just can not imagine how riding a BIG YELLOW BUS is going to work for me. I have my anti- anxiety pills, maybe get some oxygen, a flask....and then I get to return at night! ON THE BIG YELLOW BUS! Lots of prayers would be appreciated.

Hope all ya'll have a great day!
